Between Us was founded by Emile Aslan Lacheny and Alessandro Paiano when in an improvised play about immigration channeling Beckettian theatre.

They then pushed the idea further into the goal of a community for immigrants by immigrants. They continued developing the idea and the values of the company to include minorities and LGBTQ+.

Between Us was named by Alessandro for what it stands for; between us immigrants, between us minorities. The ones that the system silence or overlook. But it also represents art. All form of art and especially the performative ones that Between Us develops is between the artists that craft it and the audience that experience it.
